This involves an initial visual inspection for issues like corrosion or physical damage, followed by voltage and specific gravity checks to assess overall health. Batteries then undergo a wash and neutralization process to ensure clean and safe operation. Technicians also perform cable and jumper assembly repairs to address high resistance, and a load test is conducted to measure the battery's ampere-hour capacity. Finally, acid adjustments are made to optimize specific gravity, and an equalization charge is applied to balance cell capacities, culminating in a fully reconditioned battery.
