How to Spec a Battery
Locate the Battery Model
Step 1:
Battery model is located on the nameplate.
If model is not legible or missing, then you can locate the battery's model number by tracing the positive cable to the first cell. The number is beneath the shroud of the inter-cell connector between the first and second cells.
Measure the Length
Step 2:
Measure the length of the battery from lifting ear to lifting ear.
Measure the Width
Step 3:
Measure the width of the battery from front to back.
Measure the Height
Step 4:
Measure the height of the battery from the bottom to the top of the lifting ear or cover.
